My real estate career began some twenty years ago. While working on my undergraduate degree at Loyola University, I began appraising residential properties under the tutelage of my step-father, a long-time appraiser of residential and commercial properties. I caught on quickly and enjoyed the fact that I was able to inspect a wide variety of homes in many different communities. Currently, I am licensed in the State of Illinois as a Certified Residential Appraiser and for the past 14 years have owned and operated a successful real estate appraisal business.

About four years ago, I decided to get my sales license and begin a second career in real estate sales. After successful completion of the sales class and passing the state exam, I joined the Jean Wright Real Estate staff. Jean Wright made such an impression on me — her professionalism, passion for work, and genuine concern for people convinced me that she would be a great person to serve as my mentor. All of the people working for Jean are extremely helpful, having all been hand-picked by her, and work as a team to help make Jean Wright Real Estate the best real estate office on the North Shore.

On the home front, I am married to Dave Burman — web designer, real estate appraiser, fellow sales associate with Jean Wright, and dedicated dad. We live in Glenview with our three children.
